What is authenticity? What is originality? This project asked us to explore these questions. In favor of the bootleg, my poster for Studio Echo, a fictitious studio in tribute to Studio Yukiko, mimics several of Studio Yukiko’s formal tropes, like bold typography and novelty fonts, bright, vibrating colors, and cheeky, playful elements. The final poster is a compilation of elements from smaller poster studies that reference different projects from Studio Yukiko as well as its iconic website design.
